Tasks and Responsibilities

The consultant will be expected to:

1. Conduct an In-Depth Evaluation of Oxfam’s DRR Interventions

   • Review past DRR program documentation, including reports and other materials, to understand the scope and objectives of the initiatives.

   • Assess how well the interventions met their objectives in terms of disaster preparedness, resilience, and community empowerment.

2. Engage with Local Stakeholders

   • Collaborate with local communities, stakeholders, and project partners in the Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu to gather feedback and insights on the sustainability of the DRR interventions.

   • Conduct field visits to assess the ongoing impact of Oxfam’s interventions.

3. Analyze the Sustainability of DRR Efforts

Qualifications

Education and Certification

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of experience working in the field of humanitarian assistance, with a strong focus on disaster risk reduction and resilience building.

• Proven experience in evaluating the sustainability of humanitarian programs, particularly in the context of disaster risk reduction and resilience.

• Experience in multi-country evaluations and working in diverse, culturally sensitive environments.
