Join the UNFPA WomenX Collective Expert Committee: Global Call for Health Innovation Experts (Apply by 20 April 2025)

Global Call for Health Innovation Experts is an exceptional opportunity for professionals to contribute their knowledge to a voluntary advisory group focused on advancing women’s health in low- and middle-income countries. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is inviting global experts in maternal and reproductive health, digital health innovation, gender-inclusive supply chains, AI-driven diagnostics, and sustainable health systems to submit their expressions of interest by 20 April 2025. This call aims to establish a multidisciplinary, ad-hoc advisory committee under the WomenX Collective initiative to help guide the development, adaptation, and scaling of high-impact health interventions. Participation is voluntary, and meetings are held virtually.
Background & Job Description
UNFPA, the United Nations agency dedicated to sexual and reproductive health, has officially launched the WomenX Collective—an ambitious initiative designed to close persistent gaps in women’s health by promoting evidence-based, scalable innovations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). As part of this innovative program, UNFPA is forming case-specific, ad-hoc Expert Committees composed of global and local professionals who will provide specialized guidance to ensure that investment cases are successfully adapted, assessed, and scaled with precision and sustainability.
The WomenX Collective Expert Committee will support this broader initiative by providing critical advisory services on a voluntary basis. Each committee will operate under the direction of UNFPA’s Chief of Innovation and Transformation, supported by the WomenX Secretariat team. Meetings will be held virtually, and all participation will be unpaid and voluntary.
This unique global initiative aims to transform the health outcomes of women and girls by identifying, testing, and scaling interventions that are locally relevant, digitally enabled, and sustainable in the long term. The program is rooted in UNFPA’s core mission to improve reproductive and maternal health outcomes by supporting self-care strategies, improving access to diagnostics and treatment, and enhancing last-mile health delivery systems.
