Tasks

An intern in a Knowledge Management and Research role typically supports the team with a variety of critical functions, which may include:

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program, or have graduated within the past two years (e.g., Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Information Management, Economics, Public Health, or a related field).
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance (proof may be required via transcripts or academic reference).

Experience

  • Proficiency in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages (English, French, or Spanish), with fluency in English often required.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and potentially experience with information/knowledge management systems like SharePoint.
  • Experience in drafting research briefs, articles, or documentation and report writing is often considered an asset.
