UNICEF Remote Research Assistants Salary $4,000 – Apply Now for a Global Impact Role

UNICEF, one of the world’s leading organizations for children, is looking to expand its roster of expert consultants in Gender and Technology through its ICTD Digital Centre of Excellence. This is your opportunity to join a global mission to bridge the gender digital divide and empower girls and women through inclusive, innovative tech-based solutions.

Whether you’re a seasoned expert or an emerging professional, this remote-based consultancy could be the ideal opportunity to support scalable, girl-centered digital innovations around the world.

🌍 Why UNICEF Needs You
The global digital gender divide continues to pose significant challenges to girls’ and women’s access to technology, digital literacy, online safety, and representation in tech leadership. UNICEF’s Gender Action Plan and Adolescent Girls Programme Strategy prioritize strategic, scalable interventions that empower adolescent girls digitally, socially, and economically.

One standout initiative is Oky—a mobile period and reproductive health tracking app co-designed by girls, for girls. But Oky is just the beginning. UNICEF is building an ecosystem of gender-responsive digital products—from girl-led innovations to digital solutions addressing gender-based violence, online safety, education, digital skills development, and economic opportunities.

To deliver on this mission, UNICEF is assembling a Gender and Technology Consultancy Roster for 2025–2027, covering a wide array of tech, policy, design, content, and research needs.
