Department Overview – Information Systems & Technology (IS&T)
The Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Department plays a critical role within ClimateWorks’ operations by managing and optimizing the organization’s technology ecosystem and systems architecture. The department oversees long-term systems strategy, system implementations, feature enhancements, cybersecurity, infrastructure, risk management, and user support.
Within IS&T, the Information Systems team works closely with the Global Intelligence Department and Climate Philanthropy team to curate and maintain systems that collect, analyze, and share climate and philanthropic insights with internal teams and external partners.

Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager, Information Systems reports to the Senior Associate Director, Information Systems and manages a portfolio of technical systems projects from intake through implementation and post-launch support. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives, many of which involve Salesforce, system integrations, and cross-departmental collaboration.
The Senior Project Manager plays a key role in shaping ClimateWorks’ organization-wide systems architecture, improving user experience, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager, Information Systems will:
- Manage a portfolio of technical systems projects through the full project lifecycle
- Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, ranging from small enhancements to large, complex implementations
- Develop detailed project plans for cross-functional and multi-system projects
- Manage scope, anticipate risks, and lead proactive problem-solving
- Identify dependencies and operational impacts across projects and ensure efficient sequencing
- Facilitate needs assessments for current and future system initiatives
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, communications, and deliverables
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation
- Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change
- Establish reporting and communication frameworks for stakeholders and senior leadership
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and user adoption
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in technical or systems project management
- At least 4 years of Salesforce experience in a relevant role
- Proven experience managing system integrations
- Track record of delivering organization-wide technology implementations
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently
Skills & Competencies
- Strong needs-analysis and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and risk mitigation abilities
- High proficiency with project management tools and frameworks
- Experience facilitating meetings and driving decisions and follow-up

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Salesforce Administration skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range (Bay Area / NYC): USD 130,000 – 140,000 annually
- Salary Range (Other US locations): USD 120,000 – 130,000 annually
- US Flexible role with geographic pay differential
