Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider established in Kenya in 1986. The organisation provides health products, quality assurance, and health systems strengthening services.
MEDS is implementing the Access to Health (ATH) programme in partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim to improve access to quality and affordable innovator brands for non-communicable disease treatment and management across Kenya’s 47 counties.
The Market Access Lead will support the effective marketing and use of medical laboratory commodities while providing product knowledge, customer support, and market analysis.
Tasks
The responsibilities include:
- Providing product information under the Access to Health programme.
- Working with field teams to support patient enrolment.
- Coordinating customer and internal training initiatives.
- Visiting customers to conduct product demonstrations.
- Collecting and documenting customer feedback.
- Supporting reports and other programme activities.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant health sciences field such as Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Nursing or Medical Laboratory, together with marketing experience.
Alternatively, applicants may have a business degree in Marketing, Management, Administration or a related field combined with a relevant health-related diploma and marketing experience.
Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body is also required.
Experience
Applicants need at least two years of relevant Sales or Marketing Executive experience.
The vacancy also requires an own vehicle and a clean driving licence with at least two years of continuous driving experience. Business acumen, marketing, customer service, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
