The United Nations Foundation (UNF) is seeking an experienced Manager, Grants and Compliance to join the FP2030 initiative—a global partnership of governments, civil society, private sector, donors, and multilateral organizations working to ensure universal access to contraception and reproductive health choices.
As FP2030 transitions into a decentralized, regionally led network, the importance of effective grants management and donor compliance has escalated. This full-time, fully remote role is crucial in ensuring operational efficiency and transparency across a multifaceted funding landscape.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Grants, the Manager will work closely with regional hubs, funders, the Executive Director, and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of grants, from acquisition to close-out, with a strong focus on compliance, funder engagement, reporting, and internal capacity building.

Tasks
Grant Management and Compliance
- Oversee the full lifecycle of grants including due diligence, agreement execution, deliverables tracking, and close-out.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, collaborating with internal stakeholders and regional hubs for input.
- Monitor donor-specific compliance standards and align internal protocols accordingly.
- Collaborate with Finance and Program teams to support budget development, financial tracking, and timely expenditure reporting.
- Draft, review, and amend grant agreements, subawards, and contractual documentation with legal oversight.
- Use Salesforce and other grant management tools to maintain detailed grant records and reporting pipelines.
- Track critical deadlines, deliverables, and donor expectations, communicating risks or concerns proactively.
Funder Stewardship and Communications
- Serve as the primary liaison with funders regarding grant-related matters.
- Coordinate strategic communication with donors, including briefings, progress updates, and funder reports.
- Prepare tailored dashboards, financial summaries, and partner-specific reports.
- Collaborate with Communications and Advocacy teams to ensure consistent, donor-aligned messaging.
- Monitor funder pipelines and renewal opportunities.
Internal Coordination and Capacity Building
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between global teams and regional hubs to streamline grant implementation.
- Provide training and resources to regional teams on donor compliance and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements in grants management and internal workflows.
- Assist with operational planning and team resourcing for grant-related initiatives.
Donor Landscape and Strategy Alignment
- Stay current on global family planning donor trends and priorities.
- Share insights with FP2030 teams and partners to improve alignment and collaboration.
- Support proposal development with donor history, compliance records, and grant performance data.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in grant management, donor reporting, and compliance within international development or global health sectors.
- Proven track record managing diverse funding portfolios and maintaining donor relationships.
- Experience handling grants from bilateral and private donors; exposure to Global South donor environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of grant lifecycle management, compliance frameworks, and financial tracking.
- Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce experience is highly desirable.
Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel expertise required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication skills across internal teams and external stakeholders.
