With a central aim of expanding access to secure, affordable, and sustainable energy, AEEP is deeply involved in facilitating cross-continental energy infrastructure investments and cooperative policy engagement.

Hosted within GIZ under the Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.pro), the AEEP Secretariat coordinates a variety of impactful initiatives including the high-profile AEEP Forum and AEEP Energy Talks webinar series. These events promote knowledge exchange and alignment between African and European stakeholders, helping shape the future of energy partnerships between both regions.

To support these crucial efforts, GIZ is currently recruiting a Communications and Event Management Intern (m/f/d) to join the Secretariat’s Bonn-based team from August 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
