Background & Job Description
This consultancy position is with UNICEF’s Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), specifically supporting the UNISON team. UNISON is UNICEF’s global Salesforce-based CRM system, vital for coordinating donor engagement, managing funding pipelines, and driving data-informed partnership strategies across over 160 offices globally. The Consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing reporting capabilities and providing actionable insights from this complex dataset.

Tasks
The key responsibilities for this role are expected to include:
- Data Management and Analysis: Extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data from UNISON (Salesforce) related to partner accounts, opportunities, user activities, and engagement.
- Dashboard Development: Maintaining, enhancing, and developing dynamic regional Salesforce and Power BI dashboards to effectively track key performance indicators (KPIs), pipeline health, and overall partner performance.
- Data Integrity & Audits: Performing regular audits to identify and resolve data gaps and inconsistencies within the Salesforce system.
- Reporting Automation: Verifying and maintaining data flows for automated reporting workflows and producing critical ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Strategic Insights: Identifying data trends, gaps, and opportunities to provide strategic recommendations that will improve partnership performance and fundraising efficiency.
- Capacity Building: Developing training materials and providing guidance to end-users across global teams on best practices for UNISON, Power BI reports, and data usage.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- A university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field is typically required.
- An advanced university degree is often preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience is generally required in fields such as data cleaning, data preparation, data analysis, and using statistical methods/software.
- Significant experience working within a large, global organization, preferably in the fundraising or partnerships domain, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in leveraging Salesforce data for reporting and analytics is mandatory.
- Proven experience in developing and enhancing sophisticated dashboards using tools like Power BI is essential.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in English is a must.
Additional Information
This is a home-based, remote consultancy role, offering incredible flexibility to work from anywhere in the world (though the position may be formally anchored in Geneva, Switzerland, for administrative purposes). The contract is for a 12-month duration. Compensation will be a competitive lump sum based on the agreed-upon deliverables.
