This position supports two critical global programs:

  • The Just Transition Program (JTP): This initiative supports communities and governments worldwide in achieving climate goals while safeguarding social justice and economic stability.

🛠 Tasks

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the origination and processing of project grants and contracts

  • Conducting research to support program expansion in the Global South

  • Coordinating virtual and in-person meetings with global stakeholders

  • Managing timelines, agendas, notes, and follow-up tasks

  • Preparing content for internal briefings, external partners, and workshops

  • Assisting with strategic planning and implementation for both programs


🎓 Qualifications

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience, or

  • Master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience
    (Relevant fields: environmental studies, public policy, social sciences, international relations)

Experience:

  • Demonstrated interest in climate justice or environmental policy

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Experience managing multiple priorities independently

  • Tech-savvy: comfort using tools like Salesforce, Asana, Microsoft Office

  • Collaborative mindset, with a positive, solutions-oriented approach


📌 Additional Information

  • Duration: 12–18 months, with potential for extension

  • Location: Remote (US flexible), based in San Francisco preferred

  • Salary Range:

    • Bay Area/NYC: $65,000–$70,000

    • Other U.S. locations: $60,000–$65,000

  • Benefits:
