Background & Job Description
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is dedicated to achieving a world free of the three diseases. The Fund Portfolio Analyst (FPA) – GL B position is integral to supporting the effective and efficient delivery of grant processes across various country teams. Operating under the supervision of a Senior/Fund Portfolio Manager (S/FPM), the FPA collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to manage the full grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.Humanitarian Jobs+3UNjoblink+3Talentify+3
Tasks
1. Funding Request

Receive and process documentation related to the Funding Request process.

Screen and review for completeness, consistency, and accuracy of submitted documentation as per applicable guidelines.

Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g., A2F team) and external stakeholders (e.g., CCMs, Principal Recipients) to clarify funding request documents.

Conduct initial analysis based on the above review and flag relevant issues to S/FPM’s attention.
2. Grant Making

Prepare guidance materials and communications related to the grant-making process planning and key deliverables.

Execute grant-related transactions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency of information.

Facilitate the progress of the grant-making process and review documentation among PR, LFA, and CT members.

3. Grant Implementation, Monitoring, and Closure

Generate standard reporting forms and conduct initial reviews for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

Liaise and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to follow up, clarify, and troubleshoot system-related inputs and issues.

Draft standard grant documentation related to grant revisions and facilitate the internal review and approval process.

Coordinate closure processes, ensuring timely management and compliance with closure requirements.
4. CCM, PR, and LFA Master Data Management

Provide proactive guidance and support to CCM, PR, and LFA representatives regarding master data processes.

Ensure that CCM member, LFA, and PR master data and related documentation are properly maintained and updated in corporate systems.

Review and validate change requests in master data and facilitate internal review and approval processes.
5. Document and Data Management

Ensure proper management of grant documentation in accordance with established process and system requirements.

Manage translation processes, including quality review of translations and revisions as required.

6. Support to Country and Regional Team Operations

Maintain the team’s travel plans and organize travel logistics for team members and external stakeholders.

Provide administrative support for experts’ meetings and key meetings of partners in the region.

7. Team Budget

Track expenditures and project expected execution rates according to the estimated planning of Country Teams missions in-country.UNjobnet
8. LFA Management

Facilitate timely approval of LFA requisitions and conduct initial review of LFA invoices for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

Support the timely submission of the annual LFA workplans by the agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
-
University degree in public or business administration, finance, or other relevant fields, or equivalent professional training or self/study work experience.
Experience
Essential:
-
Experience working in a grant management support role.
-
Systems experience, particularly relating to the monitoring of grants.

Secretarial/administrative experience, preferably in an international and multicultural environment.
Desirable:
-
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Additional Information

Languages: An excellent knowledge of English is essential. A good working knowledge of French or one of the following: Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish is preferable. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
