Tasks
The AI Fellow will be responsible for:
- Identifying and scoping real-world challenges where AI can be applied.
- Rapidly prototyping with modern AI and Large Language Model (LLM) tools.
- Designing and implementing AI/ML models to address global health, development, or education challenges.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and ethical use of data.
- Developing workshops and guides to build AI capacity within the foundation and among partners.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
- A relevant doctoral degree (e.g., PhD) is required, with a demonstrated specialization in mathematical modeling, data science, or a related quantitative field.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Proficiency in ML/AI modeling, software engineering, and data wrangling is essential.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in applying AI to public health, agriculture, diagnostics, or education.
- Experience in interdisciplinary problem-solving and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
