The Development and Outreach Department is seeking a full-time intern for their Berlin office for a three-month term, ideally starting in mid-February 2026. Tasks
The internship will primarily focus on supporting the Development and Outreach team’s efforts, especially in the lead-up to a major annual fundraising event. Key responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with event planning and logistics, particularly for the Berlin Voices for Justice Dinner.
- Drafting and editing documents and correspondence related to donor relations.
- Supporting the creation of graphic design and event-related materials.
- Updating and maintaining donor records and database entries.
- Assisting with donor communication, engagement, and general outreach efforts.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Applicants must be enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship term.
- The Berlin office specifically requires this to be a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) in relation to the applicant’s studies.
Experience
- Strong interest in fundraising, outreach, and special events within the human rights context is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to human rights and/or international issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both German and English are required.
- Experience with computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and teamwork is preferred.
- Must possess valid work authorization in Germany for the internship period.
