PANORAMA: Solutions for a Healthy Planet
PANORAMA is a multi-partner initiative that shares best practices in conservation and sustainable development. UNDP co-leads its Protected Areas or 30×30 Solutions thematic community, which helps practitioners learn from real-world biodiversity finance implementations. The new PANORAMA Finance thematic community will serve as a hub for global knowledge-sharing in biodiversity finance.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will be an integral part of the BIOFIN global team, reporting to the BIOFIN Knowledge Management Specialist and PANORAMA Project Coordinator. Your tasks will include:
1. Research & Data Analysis
- Analyze BIOFIN activities in 41+ core countries to identify biodiversity finance solutions.
- Assist in updating the BIOFIN finance solutions database.
- Conduct cross-country comparative research on biodiversity finance trends.
2. Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Develop knowledge products and guidance materials on biodiversity finance solutions.
- Synthesize research findings into user-friendly formats for global audiences.
- Support documentation of meetings, webinars, and events.
3. Communications & Outreach
- Contribute to blogs, articles, and social media content for BIOFIN and PANORAMA.
- Track and analyze media coverage of BIOFIN-related activities.
- Assist in organizing regional calls, meetings, and webinars.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a postgraduate program (Master’s or higher).
- In the final year of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Recently graduated (within the past year).
- Enrolled in a professional traineeship program with an internship requirement.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in biodiversity, conservation, finance, or environmental sciences.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience with knowledge management, social media, and communication.
- Fluency in English (French is highly desirable; other UN languages are an asset).
