The Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) offers six annual scholarships for graduate students conducting research related to water resources. Awards support research in applied, natural, and social sciences.

- Research applied, natural or social science aspects of water resources.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Person by the application deadline.
Additional criteria apply to the Indigenous Students in Water and Women in Water scholarships.

- Proof of full-time enrolment.
- Undergraduate transcript.
- Graduate transcript.
- Two reference letters.
- A research project outline of no more than 5,000 characters explaining the methods, data, analysis and expected outcomes, including the project’s relevance to sustainable water resources.
