Job Description: Oxfam America is searching for a highly organized marketing intern to collaborate closely with our Brand and Engagement Team. This paid, full-time position will play a pivotal role in outreach efforts to target audiences, managing event information, and providing logistical support for public events such as the Oxfam Hunger Banquet and outreach activities at concerts and festivals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by offering resources and support to individuals and groups interested in organizing Oxfam Hunger Banquets through follow-up emails, phone calls, and social media interactions.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to new organizers, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the planning process.
  • Identify potential groups and organizations, especially at colleges and universities, that would benefit from hosting an Oxfam Hunger Banquet.
  • Encourage increased participation in fall Oxfam Hunger Banquets through targeted outreach efforts.
  • Conduct online research and compile data related to the use of the Oxfam Hunger Banquet.
  • Assist with data collection and entry, including updating databases with new contact information and event details.
  • Fulfill orders for event materials, including those for concerts and festivals.
  • Utilize social media platforms to identify and track relevant events.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute insights during strategic planning sessions.
  • Assist in evaluating potential new outreach markets based on volunteer and geographic data.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or holding an undergraduate degree or higher, or possessing equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work independently on tasks and seek guidance when needed.
  • Previous experience in administration and marketing research is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Zoom, and Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Genuine interest in Oxfam’s mission and a passion for global social justice issues.
