About the Role
The Project Officer will play a key role in implementing humanitarian projects and ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
Working closely with the Project Coordinator, the successful candidates will oversee field activities, coordinate partners, supervise field teams, monitor project progress, and support emergency response operations.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Coordinate day-to-day project implementation.
- Supervise field teams and casual workers.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and safeguarding standards.
- Support procurement and logistics activities.
- Build strong relationships with local partners and community stakeholders.
- Collect project data and maintain accurate documentation.
- Prepare daily and periodic project reports.
- Support distribution activities and beneficiary verification.
- Monitor project progress and resolve field implementation challenges.
- Maintain project records for accountability and auditing.
- Report safeguarding and protection concerns.
- Support proposal development and project amendments.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in humanitarian or development programmes.
- Experience in emergency response, distributions, partner management, and field operations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and data collection tools.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to field locations.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
