About the Role

The Awards & Partnerships Assistant will support the Awards and Partnerships Management Team in planning, securing, and managing donor-funded development and humanitarian projects. The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with donor requirements while maintaining high-quality award management systems and supporting partnership processes.

Working closely with finance, programme operations, technical teams, and partners, the position plays an important role in ensuring grants are managed efficiently throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Support proposal development and award submissions.
  • Maintain award documentation within the Awards Management System (AMS).
  • Assist with donor compliance and internal award management processes.
  • Monitor award implementation and reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare portfolio management reports and award tracking information.
  • Coordinate award kick-off and close-out meetings.
  • Draft meeting minutes and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Support financial monitoring and donor reporting processes.
  • Manage partner records and contracts within the Awards Management System.
  • Coordinate partner monitoring activities and progress review meetings.
  • Support timely partner payments and agreement amendments.
  • Assist with staff orientation and training on the Awards Management System.
  • Promote high-quality data management and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A university degree in International Development, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in grants, contracts, or award management.
  • Knowledge of donor-funded projects and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with implementing partners will be an added advantage.
