Internship Responsibilities
The selected intern will support WHO’s work on the NCD Country Capacity Survey/Assessment (NCD CCS) and related surveillance activities. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting implementation of the WHO NCD Country Capacity Survey.
- Tracking country survey responses and following up on incomplete submissions.
- Validating country responses using national policies and supporting documents.
- Assisting with data management, cleaning, quality checks, and analysis.
- Preparing reports, policy briefs, presentations, and communication materials.
- Supporting meetings with WHO regional offices and documenting discussions.
- Maintaining WHO repositories of national NCD policies and programme documents.
- Reviewing implementation reports from WHO STEPS and other population-based NCD surveys.
- Assisting with advocacy and communication activities.
- Supporting knowledge management and documentation systems.
- Participating in departmental meetings and ongoing projects.

Financial Support
WHO internships are unpaid, but selected interns receive financial support that includes:
- A monthly living allowance.
- Up to CHF 1,680 per month for interns whose permanent residence is outside Geneva.
- Up to CHF 739 per month for interns residing in Geneva.
- Daily lunch vouchers worth CHF 20 per working day.
- Comprehensive accident and medical insurance provided by WHO.
