Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Deliver analytical and advisory services on capital market development and sustainable finance.
- Support the World Bank–IFC Joint Capital Markets Program (J-CAP).
- Provide policy and operational advice to strengthen private capital mobilization.
- Assist in preparing and implementing lending operations and trust-funded projects.
- Contribute to missions, implementation reports, and results monitoring.
- Coordinate with IFC and other World Bank Group institutions.
- Support Country Partnership Frameworks (CPFs), Systematic Country Diagnostics (SCDs), and knowledge products.
- Contribute to learning events and dissemination activities.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Master’s degree (or higher) in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Capital market development
- Sustainable finance
- Debt and equity market development
- Sustainable finance instruments such as sustainability-linked bonds (SLBs) and other labeled bonds
- Financial institutions and development banks
- Experience in policy reforms, advisory services, analytics, and lending operations.
- Exposure to the J-CAP programme or similar initiatives is an advantage.
- Experience working with international financial institutions (IFIs) or development partners is desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
