Integrated Expert – Energy Transition and EU-India Clean Technology Partnership

We want you! The Observer Research Foundation (ORF) stands as one of India’s largest and most influential public policy think tanks. Through its extensive network encompassing the Indian government, political figures, journalists, and other key decision-makers, ORF plays a crucial strategic role in German development cooperation. Recently, ORF and GIZ collaborated on the Energy Transition Dialogue, facilitating the participation of State Secretary BMZ Jochen Flasbarth in a high-level ministerial meeting titled “The G20 and Beyond: A Roadmap for Growth, Sustainability, and Resilience”. Now, ORF and GIZ are poised to deepen their partnership further by spearheading an Indo-German initiative for an investor conference slated for November 2024, with the aim of catalyzing green investments in India.

In preparation for this conference, ORF and GIZ engaged in collaborative efforts at the Raisina Dialogue in February 2024, fostering meaningful exchanges among key stakeholders. We are seeking an Integrated Expert (IE) to contribute to this collaboration and drive potential future partnerships in the realm of green transformation. The focus areas encompass Energy Transition and Clean Technology Partnership between the EU and India, extending beyond India’s G20 involvement and into the next EU mandate.

Collaborating closely with experts at the ORF Center for Economy and Growth is also expected.

Fundraising, international partnerships, and managing in-kind contributions: Identifying new funding opportunities for ORF initiatives, including forging new projects with European research foundations and development agencies. Additionally, overseeing existing partnerships with private organizations, Indian government agencies, and government bodies from other nations.
