Your Role: As a Senior Development Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of nurturing relationships with major US foundation donors, driving increased support for Oxfam’s vital initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement funding strategies for assigned donor accounts, focusing on US foundation donors.
  • Serve as the Donor Account Manager for prominent US foundation donors, ensuring effective engagement and stewardship.
  • Maintain robust processes for donor account management and communication, promoting satisfaction among internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic alignment between donors and Oxfam programs, fostering growth in relationships and funding.
  • Provide support in proposal and report submission, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and high-quality submissions.
  • Collaborate with program and policy staff to enhance program marketability to funders and support fundraising efforts.

  • Uphold professionalism and confidentiality in representing Oxfam.
  • Promote gender equity, racial equity, and diversity in the workplace and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of grant-writing experience for US foundation donors.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising databases.
  • Ability to manage complex proposal development and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in French or Spanish.
  • Experience in non-profit or international development organizations.
